Braid hair extensions can make life so easy, once your hair is hidden inside of braid, daily maintenance like breeze. But there comes a time when you need take your braid out. This process need your patient, especially when your braid is very small. Today I will show you some tips about how to avoid hair damage and loss during take out your braid.
Cutting.
First thing you need to cut the braid, and you need have a general idea about how long your natural hair is, to be in safe side, you cut below 2 inch where you believe your hair end. Cut one braid at one time instead of grabbing a handful and hacking away.
Working in sections.
Once all braid extensions are cut away, it’s time to detangle it, working in sections can make this work easier. Divide your hair into 4~8 sections and work one section at one time. Begin at the bottom of your braid, and walk your way up. Using your figures to unraveling and de tangling it as much as possible. Spray some leave in conditioner is very helpful for this process, make this step easier. Your hair don’t need to be soaked wet, a little dampness is good. Detangle.
Once the extensions are all take out, it’s time to detangle. Don’t reach for a comb just yet. Your hair still in section off, working one section at a time, use your fingers to detangle it. The average of hair shedding is about 50~150 strands. When you braid hair, the loss hair have no place to go, so when you take out hair extensions, you will be experience a lot of hair shedding, it’s no need to be alarmed.
Shampooing and conditioning.
When you shampoo your hair, you may see more hair loss, gentle massage your scalp, and deep conditioner your hair.
However, don’t take next extensions just away, it’s a good idea get at least 2 weeks rest and breath before wear next extension.
